005 151 39 01 – Starter Motor, Solenoid Switch, Engagement Lever OE by Mercedes-Benz
This component is a Permanent Magnet Gear Reduction (PMGR) starter motor responsible for initiating the internal combustion engine’s operation. When the ignition is engaged, the 12-volt, 1.1kW motor activates a solenoid that pushes the 9-tooth pinion gear into mesh with the engine’s flywheel, rotating the crankshaft at the necessary speed to start the engine.
Compatibility:
This part is primarily designed for Mercedes-Benz models equipped with the 1.8L L4 M271 engine. Compatible vehicles include:

  • Mercedes-Benz C230 Kompressor (2003-2005),
  • Mercedes-Benz C250 (2012-2015), and
  • Mercedes-Benz SLK250 (2012-2015).
  • It is also used in specific 2014 Mercedes-Benz G550 configurations.
