Description
001 153 11 32 – Mercedes-Benz Knock Sensor
This part is a piezoelectric engine management component that monitors mechanical vibrations within the engine block to detect detonation, commonly known as engine knocking. When the sensor identifies a knock frequency, it generates an electrical signal that is sent to the Engine Control Unit (ECU). The ECU then retards ignition timing to optimize combustion and prevent catastrophic damage to internal engine components such as pistons, valves, and connecting rods.
Compatibility:
This sensor is compatible with a vast range of Mercedes-Benz vehicles from 1996 to 2011, primarily those equipped with M112 (V6), M113 (V8), and M137/M275/M285 (V12) engines. Specific models include the;
- C-Class (W202, W203) 1997-2007,
