This A/C Compressor is the central pump of the vehicle’s air conditioning system, responsible for compressing low-pressure refrigerant vapor into high-pressure gas and circulating it throughout the cooling loop. It utilizes a multi-groove serpentine pulley (typically 6 or 7 grooves) and is designed for high-efficiency cooling with minimal vibration. It functions by converting mechanical energy from the engine via the accessory belt into pneumatic pressure for the refrigerant, ensuring the cabin stays cool and humidity is removed.
