Description
001 540 60 17 – Mercedes-Benz Oxygen Sensor (Lambda Sensor)
The Oxygen Sensor, also known as a Lambda Sensor, is a critical component of the vehicle’s engine management system. It measures the concentration of oxygen in the exhaust gases and sends this data to the Engine Control Unit (ECU). The ECU uses this information to continuously adjust the air-fuel mixture to achieve optimal combustion, maximize fuel efficiency, and minimize exhaust emissions. This specific 4-wire sensor includes an internal heating element to reach its operating temperature quickly, reducing emissions during the engine’s warm-up phase.
