This component is the primary pump for the vehicle’s air conditioning system, responsible for compressing low-pressure gaseous refrigerant into high-pressure gas and circulating it through the system to facilitate heat exchange. It features an internal control valve that adjusts the piston stroke based on cooling demand, which reduces engine drag and improves overall fuel efficiency. The unit is typically belt-driven via a 110mm pulley with 7 ribs and is designed for use with R134a refrigerant and PAG 46 oil.
